The two cards published by N le Cheminant are of the 1907 Battle of Flowers, and a cattle show of 1910. Adolphus le Cheminant owned a shop in the Commercial Arcade, and his son Norman assisted in the shop. They advertise as dealers in photographic materials.

The view of Guernsey and the German troops in front of the Royal Hotel in 1940, was published by the Guernsey Press.

The crab pot maker and the ploughing scene are two cards published by F W Guerin. His father F B Guerin had a shop at 25 the High Street, and advertised as a bookbinders, booksellers, stationers, library, and printers. F W Guerin produced many cards between 1904 and 1909, when he left the island to run a shop in Jersey.

The two L Levy cards are part of a series of 230 Guernsey views. The 'top of the tram' is sought after by tram collectors as it is the only postcard showing this view.

Guernsey Postcards.

The postcard of St Georges, Catel, was published by Thomas Grut in 1911. It shows part of the coronation celebrations held in Guernsey. Every parish had its own event. The card of the ships in the harbour is also by T. Grut, showing the visiting French and English ships, that had come for the inauguration of the statue to Victor Hugo in Candie Grounds in July 1914.

Thomas Grut was born in St Peter Port in 1852. He became a photographic apprentice  and then a photographic artist with his first studio in 1880 in St Peter Port. His son Norman was born in St Peter Port in 1882, and like his father he became a photographic artist, and continued the family business. he died in January 1956.

N. Grut published cards of the Royal visit in 1921 of King George V and Queen Mary. He was also there to produce cards of a second Royal visit in 1935, that of the Prince of Wales, later to become King Edward VIII.

The other scene of the coronation celebrations was published by Thomas Bramley. He came to the Guernsey in the early part of the 1900s and photographed many events, such as the outing of 1912.
