18 members attended the Chester meeting, and 12 displays were shown.

Don Somerville showed cards and cachets of the French seaplane base on Guernsey.

Continuing the French theme, cards were displayed of the RGLI in France.

Ron Osborne displayed censor marks and Occupation material including a theatre programme from Laufen internment camp, designed by the internees.

Richard Flemming showed examples of regional and post independence stamps with blocks, different stamp colours, prints and papers.

David Horner displayed Sark cancellations from 1901 to 1948.

Brian Chilton showed some of his modern cards of the Herm and Sark ferries, which showed the changes in the companies.

After lunch Bob MacDonald displayed Liberation stationery, souvenirs and First Day Covers, followed by independence stamps and covers of 1969, 25 years later. He concluded with philatelic covers of the 70s and 80s, and some ‘Moccupation’ stamps.

This was followed by Mark Bailey’s display of imitation stamps.

Andy Hinks displayed post World War 2 Sark covers including the first mail into Sark after the war.

John Hirst showed some LL postcards of Channel Island costume, military cards and rural scenes.

Dave Edwards displayed early photographic works of local Guernsey photographer Thomas Singleton.

Gerald Marriner displayed instructional and postage due marks on incoming mail from 1905 to 1954, including one from Venezuela into Jersey.

The meeting ended with Gavin Wood showing covers commemorating the Liberation of the Channel Islands, including one of the resumption of the air mail service.

Dave Edwards then thanked Gavin for arranging the successful and enjoyable regional meeting.
