The Joan Flood Salver for Research

Awarded for the best piece of published research on a Channel Islands topic. This year 2009 the Committee of the Society decided the award would be made to David Gurney for his Guernsey Maltese Cross Article.

GUIDELINE FOR THE AWARD

Publications in the form of books, monographs or articles will be judged on the depth of research reflected in the listed Sources, both primary (ie original manuscript documents) and secondary (ie printed documents), Acknowledgements and Bibliography.
The Committee to decide whether any publication it considers reflects a sufficient degree of research for the award to be made. May be presented annually for the best piece of research on a Channel Islands topic.
No formal entries are necessary, but the Committee will be pleased to have their attention drawn to projects of which they may not be aware.
